Dear friends,
In the subject module, 'Facilitating Learning and Development', it is a requirement for students to complete the second task of the assignment. As my second assignment, I have done a presentation using a new strategy (the digital item- a Video created in 'Designing for Flexible Delivery' module).
As the participants commented the video as interactive and informative, I have uploaded the video and presentation in this blog for your reference.
To view the video, please click here.
If you have difficulties to download the video, view the presentation, where in slide 7, there is a link to the video (click the action button).

Thank you for visiting this site.
Sincerely,
Farzee

Proudly presenting my last Assignment for this module...
Dear Ted and friends,
I have successfully uploaded my 2nd assignment in this blog. Do download both presentation A and B to view the project.
In presentation A,it consists of the packaging slides (main).
Presentation A
In presentation B, it consists of the digital items.
Presentation B
If you want to see just the first combined digital item (video +_sound), click here.
If you want to see just the second digital item, click here.
Advice: In the 2nd digital item that you are about to see, is an illustration of an intranet of a hospital (Print screen method). However, I have added this nursing intranet feature. Go to nursing intranet and click there. It will then bring you to an announcement page for nurses then to a link in the website.
Do take note that it may take awhile for the website link to be opened (about 1 min) , so pls wait.
Rationale
Thank you for viewing this blog. It has a been great learning experience throughout this module that I am now able to effectively practice what has been taught. This is definitely helpful in my teachings and would definitely benefit the organisation where I work in.
Take care people.
Sincerely,
Fuzzy

31.3.07
Hi guys...
Tension....we can overcome it. (Click onto the attached item for some mind relaxation. It is cool!)
I know that we have lots of understanding to do for this subject (Designing for Flexible Deliver) especially in relation to the assigments. I am glad that Mr Ted started today's session with some discussions on the educational theories of flexible delivery. It gives us a better meaning to what we are learning and what and how we can apply into the expected assignments. The 3 types of instruction and learning approaches are: Didactic, Constructivists and Social presentation. It is in Session 6 of the subject online page.

Lesson 2 - 17.3.07
Today I have attended the second lesson with Mr Ted- Designing for flexible delivery. Powerpoint has been something I have been using as one of my teaching methods at work for the past two years. Today's lesson is indeed a new dicovery for me when I learnt that we can hyperlink quite easily within the powerpoint. This would definitely be helpful for me in my assignments and application to my training sessions at work. Fantastic! Now let me see wether I can add into this blog page....hmmmm. Well, I have to ask him for this... We can't for now...perhaps in other lessons ahead.
We were taught on Hypertext- to link between documents. Using Microsoft Words:
1. First we created something in document 1 then save as webpage then another document then save similarly.
2. Highlight words in doc 1 then hyperlink to the next document..
Interesting...but a brain teaser !!

.Designing a Flexible Delivery with Ted
3.3.07
On the 3rd March, I had my first lesson of Designing a Fexible Delivery with Ted Clark. It was an exciting session but somehow a brain teasing one for me. Ted has shown lots of patience with all of us. I am glad to have learnt on how to create Blogs today.
6.3.07
Today I tried looking into the other aspects of this communication tool. I discovered that I am getting the hang of it where inititally I had lots of worry about it. Thanks to Ted for patientlt guiding me and the rest in the class on 3rd March.
I believe that this Flexible delivery module would enhance my understanding of the different approaches of teaching and learning. I am imagining now... In my health care sector, I may want my learners (trainees) to discuss their understanding in the dashboard, where I would then be able to comment and answer to their discussions or questions. Isn't it cool? However the type of learners would have to be determined. At my work place, the healthcare workers not only involve young learners like the nursing students and the newly graduated nurses. As a Clinical Instructor I also teach and train the matured group of people, mostly retrenched adults. Their age ranges between 25 to 57 years old, where this may be a big challenge for them to be in such a method of learning. As much as it may be an effective form of online learning for learners, it may also create an isolation (Manktelow, 2004) for both the young and the matured ones. I truely agree with the author after reading the article on 'Degrees of separation'. Do check these out, guys! I have read them and I am on the way to read more.

Hmmmm... I am going to read more about the theories behind this Flexible Delivery as it definitely makes me think more ..... So tell me what you have to say guys!!
